A recent New York Times story on the death of a young woman by heroin overdose contained the below phrases that dedicated Dalrymple readers know are going to raise his ire (as indeed they have):
“[Heroin] has wormed its way into unsuspecting communities…
The victim “was seduced by the potent painkiller” OxyContin and then “moved on” to heroin. She was “in the grip of something beyond her control.”
“Her addiction . . . killed her.”
